You, my readers, are the reason I’ve been as successful as I have been so far and it’s all been via word of mouth. You rock!
I love receiving your comments and reviews. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t about boosting my ego and easing my insecurities about my work. But mostly it’s because I’m in awe of the very thought that my words have somehow touched you in such a way that you felt the need to tell me or others about it. That you have taken the time to give my work a try even though I am a virtually unknown writer just floors me every time I think about it. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
THE BOOKS:
Loved the Harper series. Will there be anymore?
Yes, there will be more. 🙂 I’m currently working on the third book, which takes place during the same time frame as Sarah-Jane Quinn but from the perspective of Gus Haldemann’s second-in-command in the HR office. And then I’ll be working on a related novel – not truly an H&L novel – that involves Sarah & Gus & mainly revolves around Gretchen’s oldest daughter Luci.
I am so glad you liked them. 🙂
There’s gonna be more? that is great! I first read The Secret Drems of Sarah-Jane Quinn…then I found Office Politics after that….wish I read them in order, but its okay I’m just glad i found it because I loved it just as much as The Secret dreams of SJQ. Just glad there is going to be more. I just hope its soon. =)
I hope to finish the third book by the end of June, so hopefully it will be available for sale in early August.
I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the books. I deliberately wrote them so they don’t have to be read in order, but reading them in order avoids some spoilers. 😉
I just finished “The Secret Dreams of Sarah-Jane Quinn” and I loved, loved, loved it so much! I am now searching my Kindle to read anything you have written. A new fan!!
Awww, thank you so much! I’m very partial to that story. I hope you enjoy the rest of what I’ve written. 😉
Can you provide an update to the 3rd H&L book? The one written from Gus’ PIC.
Hi, Susie,
If you mean CHUBBALITA, written from his assistant director Chelsea Griffin’s POV, I had to set it aside for a while because the plot hadn’t quite gelled in my head yet. It’s now pretty much plotted out, and is next in the line-up after I finish WHERE I BELONG, a Harper & Lyttle spin-off that picks up with Gus & Sarah (& Gretchen’s oldest daughter) 5 years after THE SECRET DREAMS OF SARAH-JANE QUINN. I hope to finish WIB in a couple of months, and then I can move on to CHUBBALITA.
You have the gift. You know the one I’m talking about. The ability to make the characters very real. That feeling of actually knowing the people. I can imagine them and all their unique personalities. So, how do you know you an author has the gift? This is how I see it. When the book ends, you continue to imagine the characters and wonder what’s happening next. Wait there’s more to it than that. It leaves you feeling kinda bereft when you finish a series and there’s no more to read. That’s when I know I’ve found a gifted author. Thank you so much for sharing your gift.
