Whisper

whisperI reach out to you,

but you never see me.

I whisper your name,

but do you hear me?

I know you consider me

a very good friend,

someone close and special

And I know you know

how I really feel.

But does love make a difference to you?

Because I love you,

does it make me any more precious to you?

You say you don’t want

involvement.

All I’m offering is the freedom of

love.

No one can take your soul,

but you have to open your heart sometime

or you’ll be alone forever.

I can’t make you love me,

and you can’t keep me loving you,

because I have to grow up,

I have to move on,

and I can’t love

a memory.

Do you hear me now?
